MIGRATION AND ITS PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS

Migration alters the structure of families. While it is true that economic factors are major drivers, migration involves highly diverse groups of people, including girls, boys, women, men, and better-off as well as poorer people

Environment is an issue that helps a child to grow up. Not only the parents' caring and family background make or decide the children's pedagogy. The understanding of a mind , especially the child psychology depends much on the outside environment, like- the school, the playground, various companions, friend circle etc. Being a social human, no one can be confined themselves inside the rooms only. Whatever may be, a standard time comes to all when everyone has to face the outside; they have to expose the outside places and supposedly the first place may be School.

School is a second home for every child. After home, one's mind has been shaped here; character has been directed here; attitude has been purified and developed here; pride has been polished in a better way. So, undoubtedly school plays an integral role in anyone's life. And in this current era where child born and brought up in a nuclear family; where parents become busy gradually with their jobs and duties then school like place becomes the second parental house who takes care of one's child, looks after them maintaining their physical conditions as well as their mental situations. Point to be noted that this has been done not for one or two days but the whole weeks from morning to afternoon leaving the weekend only! Naturally, the ambiance of school affects the mindset of many children.

During this contemporary parents' duties, job pressure, their less time interaction with children impose a negativity to the mind of children. Not only this, but their frequent shifting from one place to another has hindered the progress of a child's development. Migration makes the minds distractful especially for those children whose growth and development are under the process of building up! A sudden change of situation force one to skip things with which one is getting accustomed of. To adjust with something new is time-taking and whenever it's centred to the child, it really becomes an issue, a heavy matter of concern.

Child-mind can easily grasp the new thing within them as it is said that this age and mentality has the good power of acceptance. According to the Tabula Rasa theory of John Locke, mind is a "blank slate" without any rules regulations for processing data. It refers to the epistemological idea that everyone is born without any mental content and therefore knowledge comes from experience and perception. Naturally, the concept of " tabula rasa" supports to some extent the "Nature versus Nurture" theory where it is said that one's personality, social and emotional behaviour, knowledge is depending much on their environments or surroundings from where children start to know, learn, adopt the thing and getting habituated with it gradually and a School is an undeniable place. So, when they are trying to accustomed of the things, it means they are gradually penetrating to it in order to expose to the  comfort or to place something in a comfort zone is human tendency. One can say that because of this reason everyone is struggling with every moments not only for their existence rather, for a far better achievements which not only assure comfort but security too. Subconsciously, we follow three steps to make the things as of our own. First we watch the thing, then we discuss about it, then we try to examine it from every nook and corner for the experiment; and when we get experienced, we take it at ease and try to expose it in our own way. In a word, Examine, Experiment and Expose are those keys by which everyone makes the thing of their own, irrespective of being elder or older. Despite all, irritations, failures, depression come in the mid of way, especially, when the continuation breaks suddenly or one has to leave the thing deliberately or undeliberately. Experiment with various things make the human mature but when it is relating to child mentality, it never points out the matter of "Maturity", but the feeling of "Insecurity" which gives birth to the "Obscurity" in a mind unknowingly.

Changing the school means changing of environment, changing of pupils, changing of people, changing of mentors, changing of communication, changing of habit or attitude towards the things. Frequent changes of mentors matter a lot for a developing growth. So, to adjust with everything, to adopt the changeability become a kind of Challenge for a child as s/he has to struggle with their own mind sets and physical surroundings. Sometimes one can catch the situation easily, sometimes not, and the problem rises then when they fail to express or expose themselves. They unknowingly turn themselves back from the crowd in order to avoid the situation. They start loving 'Lonely in Crowd' situation. Many unexpected, unusual things come in their usual ways and create a barrier in communication. They only go through the situation; neither dare to experience it nor have the power to expose it. Self-confidence level has much tendency to fall down as Self-construction has been hindered again and again by the situations. Every person has their own unique styles to follow their own values. A teacher or mentor is not an exception. Rather their various styles, attitudes and approaches create different kinds of impressions upon the students. Children like students do not have the much judging power and that's why can't assess the importance of situation. They only know to react to the situation as have an instinctive qualities.

Naturally, when the children are taken off from one place to another, even in such a great extent, it really becomes an issue of irritation. Language problem comes first in this case and during this time it is hardly possible to manage the things easily. Secondly problem comes then when parents start comparing their children with their classmates without giving proper concern to the situation. Here in the school one can help each other but as a result of parents pinch a dangerous competition springs off among friends. This is not a competition of ability and disability but the ability and un easiness. Despite one's ability, knowledge one can't express properly only because of changeability of the environmental situation. A course has limited time, a period has limited time, to spend time with mates and mentors has the limitation in the school yards. So, it is difficult to make everything of your own like the previous even in a limited time. Everyone is busy in polishing themselves in their own track to crack their own destinations. So, there lies hardly enough time for others business

To choose a particular track for own is not a much difficult task. But how to run your train in a new track, what will be the new traffic, what will be the new junction, how to take path that is passing the other tracks and trains etc. are the matter of concern. All these are very important for a new start up which is time taking too. Children face difficulties while they are asked for changing the track for a new destination or for the same destination but within a limited time. It is really hard to come out suddenly from your comfort zone and confront the new things in a new ways.
