Middle-class Indian

 journey of life

In a fluctuating economy like ours, being middle class means that you will never be the winner, but it also prevents you from accepting defeat. For it may not be a foolproof one-step guide to a savings account, but it is definitely a manifold lesson in being human. Over the years, I’ve learnt that middle class is not a badge you hide, but one you wear with pride. Because it shows that you are better prepared for the disasters of life; because it teaches you financial responsibility; because it is the only way to be satisfied and happy

.

1. Education is a number one priority, most Indian parents would refuse to buy their kids iPhone but when it comes to education they will pick the best and the most expensive institute for their kids.
2. The month of June starts off by buying new books for school and the family spends a day covering the new books.
3. Although the books are new and fresh but the school uniform and the bag will still be from the past year unless it becomes too tight to wear we wont buy a new one
4. All the Bourn-vita containers reused by filling them with rice, pulses and spices.
5. Coca cola ? no please we prefer Rasna !
6.Embroidered covers on TV, sewing machine, even washing machine.
7.Provisions bought from the local shop with a long list every month, which were cut short by dad.
8.Watched TV programmes together in a single TV, kept in the hall. When the computer came in, it too sat in the hall (drawing room).
9.Two bedroom houses, no guest room. So either children or guests were made sleep in the hall on ma
10.Mother always gave some money from her savings kept in the kitchen.
11.New dresses for b’days and Diwali
12.Pickles, potato wafers, sweets and fries.. All were made at home.they do decide your future action.

13. Have an old T-shirt? Congratulations! You now have a brand new costume for Holi. After which, your mom will probably turn it into a pocha (mop)

14. The school uniform is always bought one size bigger so that you can fit into it next year as well.
15. There's always one big polythene bag which is overstuffed by other polythene bags by your mom for future use.
16. There's always one big ass polythene bag which is stuffed by other polythene bags by your mom for future uncertainties.

That’s why we have tendency of valuing small stuff in life and we have always considered life as a journey. Its not a destination. we really never arrive. Even when we hit goals and reach our goals and reach our biggest dream, we ultimately end up wanting more, because we are weird for it, even when we overcome our setbacks and figure out solution for our problems, were not done.
Don’t worry about not having dates, or a boyfriend. Having a boyfriend does not define you. Yourself worth is not and should not be determined by the number of high school boys that ask you out. So when none of them do, let it go.
Besides, boys don’t really even know what they want until they are 25. Or 30 . Or  40.
For that matter, neither do you.
And that’s okay.
Because you are always growing and changing and learning and evolving

.

At some time or another, we all feel insecure, even the cool kids that look perfect. everyone have insecurities in them , there is a peace deep down when you realize it .its like you finally can relax, it takes a lot of pressure off when you finally understand this. and actually you start realizing what actually life is and become more fun for you, .

The girls you thought were too cool for you? Some might end up being your friends. And the girls you thought you had nothing in common with? Well, they may end up being your friends, too.

you don’t need everyone to agree with you or even like you. Its human nature to want to belong, to be liked, respected, and valued, but not at the expense of your integrity and happiness. Other people cannot give you the validation you seek. That has to come from inside.
